MSR Spring-Loaded Brush Assembly
Electrode Rotators make contact to the rotating electrode via the shaft, which makes physical contact with the brush. A brush is a silver-graphite composite material that makes electrical contact between the shaft and where you connect your potentiostat cell cable leads. These brushes wear over time, forming an advantageous concave groove, which enhances contact. After sufficient use, the brush wears and approaches the stainless steel backing of the brush assembly, at which point the brush must be replaced. This brush replacement assembly replaces the brush on an MSR, MSRX, or ASR rotator. It includes the brush assembly and hex key. The nylon mount, with color coded banana jack, is not included with this part. If you also wish to replace the nylon mount, then you can purchase a complete brush assembly instead.
