This cable has a mini-USB connector on one end which fits the cell connection on our Compact Voltammetry Cells or Honeycomb Spectroelectrochemical Electrodes. At the other end of the cable, there are four banana plugs which can be used to make connections to ANY potentiostat.
The color coding of the banana plugs is as follows:
- RED – working (drive) electrode
- ORANGE – working (sense) electrode
- GREEN – counter electrode
- WHITE – reference electrode
[alert color="blue" icon="info-circle"]For typical three-electrode cell usage, the working electrode sense line should be shorted to the working electrode connection by shorting the ORANGE banana plug to the RED banana plug (i.e., by connecting the alligator clips together on these two lines).[/alert]
