    The E7R8 Series Rotating Ring-Disk Electrode (RRDE) tip is a customer favorite – often used for electrocatalyst-based research such as oxygen reduction reaction experiments, for example. This high quality, precision RRDE tip is Fixed Disk style, which means the gold disk electrode is fixed in position and cannot be removed or changed. The platinum ring electrode is permanently fixed into position and cannot be removed. The RRDE tip has a PTFE shroud, which has a thermal stability range of 10°C – 25°C. This tip threads into compatible shafts and is not designed to be used by itself. Many other configurations of RRDE tips are available.

    Maximum Rotation Rate: 3000 RPM
    Never exceed maximum rotation rate when working with rotating electrodes.
    Thermal Stability Range: 10°C - 25°C
    Electrode damage may occur at temperatures beyond recommended range. This range is provided for electrodes with PTFE or PCTFE shrouds.
    Consumable U-Cups!
    The PTFE U-Cup is a consumable product for the ChangeDisk RDE and RRDE tips. To ensure proper operation and longevity of the tip, Pine Research recommends replacing the U-Cup every 3-4 times you perform a ChangeDisk operation. Permanent, irreversible damage to the tip will result if the U-Cup is not regularly changed. Consider purchase a backup supply when ordering a new ChangeDisk RDE or RRDE tip.
    Shafts sold separately.
    Given the wide range of electrodes we offer, where each series requires one of several rotating shafts, shafts must be purchased separately for the MSR and MSR evo rotators. Consult the RDE, RRDE, and/or RCE specifications to learn which shaft is compatible.

    This product is only compatible with the MSRX (AFMSRX), MSRCE (AFMSRCE), MSR evo (AFMSR24A1), and WaveVortex 10 electrode rotators.
